According to the editor's understanding, many friends don't know much about car knowledge. In order to facilitate everyone's understanding of this knowledge, today, the oxygen sensor manufacturer will tell you how to judge the quality of the oxygen sensor. Friends who are interested in this problem can learn about it, and it may be helpful to you. Judging whether the oxygen sensor is good or bad: You can judge whether it is damaged by observing the color; measure the resistance value of the oxygen sensor to judge; you can judge through the onboard computer tester.
Oxygen Sensor Manufacturers will tell you in detail how to detect whether the oxygen sensor is good or bad. There are several methods as follows:
(1) Break by observing the color.
Observe the color of the oxygen sensor. Generally, the color of the top part of the oxygen sensor is light gray and white, black, and brown represent abnormalities. Once the color of the top of the oxygen sensor changes (check the transaction price|participation|preferential policy), it indicates that the oxygen sensor is faulty or hidden. The black oxygen sensor on top is caused by carbon contamination. After dismantling, the carbon deposits on it should be removed. When the top of the oxygen sensor is found to be reddish brown, it means that the oxygen sensor is polluted by lead, which is caused by the use of leaded gasoline in the car.
(2) Car computer tester to judge.
The manufacturer of the oxygen sensor tells you that to measure the feedback voltage, lead out two wires from the oxygen sensor, and then plug it in. The feedback voltage of the measuring instrument will generally change more than 8 times within 10 seconds.
It is necessary to warm up the car while driving. When the water temperature reaches 80 degrees, check the voltage value of the oxygen sensor of the computer tester, it will constantly change from 0V to 1V. The faster the frequency, the better the sensor. If the voltage is 0v or 1v, or there is no change, the sensor has aged or is not working well and needs to be replaced.
(3) Measure the resistance value of the oxygen sensor to judge.
Use a multimeter to check the resistance of the oxygen sensor (between the heater post and the ground post) is generally 4 to 40 ohms.
When the engine temperature reaches normal, unplug the lead wire connector of the oxygen sensor, and check the resistance value between the terminals of the pressure sensor with an ohmmeter. Oxygen sensor manufacturers warmly remind us that the resistance value should meet the specification value requirements of specific models (mostly 4-40). If the resistance value does not meet the requirements, the oxygen sensor should be replaced.
